Post-Apocalyptic Guitar is a sample library dedicated to the rhythmic timbre and textures of post-rock bands like Mogwai, Sigur Ros, Explosions in the Sky, Cul De Sac and others. The library contains two core type of phrase-based patches divided into a Yin and Yang category. The Yin category is softer, lighter, more airy and heavenly – whereas the Yang category is harder, darker, more distorted and punchy. All the patches are tempo-synced and can be blended in an infinite amount of ways.
Post-Apocalyptic Guitar is programmed in a similar fashion to our Rhythmic Aura, Hybrid Tools, Progressive Metal and others. This means you have a variety of controls straight on your keyboard. The New Alien Drum (aka Hang Drum by Pan Art) is a unique tone based percussion instrument, which is almost impossible to come by, since there is only one maker in the world and less than 1000 drums in circulation. The instrument has a soft, sorrowful, melancholic tone to it and is a perfect companion for emotional or ambient type of scores. The Alien Drum is unique in the sense it was recorded at an average of 15 velocity layers and with 10 round-robin repetitions pr. layer/note, so you will never experience any repetition in the articulation. We used custom microphone set-ups to capture the delicate resonance both inside and outside the drum, since the resonance defines the true sound of the drum. Additionally we sampled multiple playing techniques with fingers, palm, slaps, hand brushing and the back-side of the drum, which has the similar properties to the Udu. Multiple versions of all multis allow for a variety of ways to switch or fade between articulations while playing.
The New Alien Drum also contains several morphed patches – where the Hang Drum was morphed with other acoustic instruments (ex. modified piano, modified tonal percussion, modified stringed instruments, synths etc) and 20 carefully crafted ethereal ambiences. This is the first virtual instrument designed to match the SETI program and we are proud to announce it has been approved by the IGMP (Intergalactic Music Program).

STUDIO SOLO VIOLIN is a massive collection of over 4.000 phrases performed by renowned concert violinist: Thomas Yee. The intention of the library was to sample completely realistic solo violin by creating an incredible collection of musical phrases. We programmed the library in a way that gives you maximum control over the phrases and literally allows you to sculpt 100% realistic solo violin performances. It was deliberately designed to support, augment and in some cases replace existing solo violin libraries. Essentially this library takes over where normal multi-samples (ex. legato, sustains) can’t perform. This is what we call deep phrase-sampling.
STUDIO SOLO VIOLIN comes with a variety of phrase sculpting tools, including pitch-control, time-stretching / time-compression, sample offset (which allows you to “scroll” into any phrase and trigger any part of it, FX and convolution reverbs. The pitch-control is not affected by tempo, so by controlling pitch, time-stretching/compression and sample offset you can essentially adapt the phrase to match the pitch and tempo of your composition.
In addition we added a variety of other features. You can control the dynamics, attack and releases of each sample. You can control the EQ (high, mids and lows), Gates and Filter. You can also control a variety of FX directly from the keyboard, including bit-resolution, delay, reverb, distortion, rotator and we added a beefy collection of custom convolution reverbs.

Monopolyphonix was in many ways a celebration of another successful resurrection of an old classic saved from the grave. Much like the Minimoog, ARP Omni-2 and Novachord left their sonic fingerprints on S-VX and The Orbitone Collection, a recently restored Farfisa Syntorchestra manufactured in 1974, gave its all to the creation of Monopolyphonix… Why the name? Well the Syntorchestra comes from a strange era quite early on in the history of affordable portable synthesizers where manufacturers were quite experimental and tended to do their own thing. This was especially the case with early polyphonics. The net result is that weird and wacky user interfaces and synth architectures were quite the norm in those days!
What makes the Syntorchestra quite unusual is that it features a complete polyphonic divide down section running in complete isolation in parallel with a basic monosynth each of which capable of producing similar timbres. This is quite unlike the paraphonic synth sections of the ARP Omni for example. The result is a rather odd combination of the perfect pitch characteristics of a polyphonic divide down synth beating, phasing and interacting with the far from perfect pitch tracking of a monophonic synth. With some careful front panel tweaking the two sections can be brought together to produce a surprisingly big sound. It also boasts one of the warmest analog synth pianos I think I’ve ever heard. It’s a very basic sound but really quite beautiful through reverb. The monophonic section can produce an array of chime, twang and almost Theremin type timbres too.

Swimming all the way from Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point), Mexico to the San Francisco Bay, this unique & manually chiseled hanging metallic seahorse was spawned from carbon-infused sheet metal. Its vivid metallic colors were applied by firing mineral powders directly onto the solder. Seahorses hide in mangrove stands, coral reefs, and sea grass meadows where they remain camouflaged by deep brown and grey patterns, blending into the sea grass backgrounds.While seahorses turn vivid colors in surprising surroundings and social situations, this seahorse wiggled and squirmed until finally yielding its metal and bell-like resonances. Utilizing the fins, tail, and body brings bright harmonics nostalgic of banging on trash cans, delicate clinks, plunking kalimbas, and deep marimbas.
The instruments are programmed in Native Instruments Kontakt 3.5 standard .nki file format for easy playback through a host sequencer. Instruments range from single articulations to master patches of similar sounds.

Wrenchenspiel is a custom instrument containing a large array of 31 deep-sampled wrenches, yup … wrenches!
The wrenches were modified (carved) to be in perfect tune and we managed to get some of them to sustain their notes up to 10 seconds. The wrenches were played with everything from soft to hard mallets, muted variations, hammers, hotrods, modified metal objects, other wrenches, nails, drumsticks and we even ran electricity through the wrenches for extra punishment. The end-result is a highly versatile, tonal percussion instrument that can sound like anything from a Glockenspiel to Celeste, from traditional Rhodes to absolutely brutal mutilated music sound design. The Wrenchenspiel contains 18 different core articulations and over 1.200 samples. In addition the library also contains a step-based sequencer (aka Wrenchenquencer/arp), live-triggered FX (ex. Delay, Reverb, Screamer, Lofi, Rotator, Fuzz) and our dual convolution reverbs containing both sound designed and more traditional hall based impulses.
