Blue Cat’s PatchWork is a universal plug-ins patchbay that can host up to 64 VST plug-ins into any Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) in one instance. It is possible to chain effects in series or create up to 8 parallel chains that can be activated independently. This lets you create your favorite effects or instruments configurations within the plug-in, without the need for multiple busses. These configurations can be saved as presets and recalled instantly, or shared with multiple DAWs, using any plug-in format (full list below). Despite the name, you can forget about wires or cables: configuring plug-ins routing is as simple as adding or removing a row or a column in the rack’s matrix.

For each plug-in slot, latency compensation, presets management, undo/redo integration, and individual plug-in bypass are included for optimal operation. The plug-in also stores the position of the window for each plug-in so that the layout is restored with your session or saved with presets.

The plug-in is available as an audio effect or a virtual instrument so that it can be inserted on any type of track, with up to 8 audio channels.

Input and output level meters are also included to monitor the signal that is dispatched to inserted plug-ins.

It is the year 2500 and our own creation, the cyborgs have taken over the planet. With human influence and culture destroyed, the cyborgs have organised their own competitive cartels, each claiming to produce the most wicked dubstep beats around. Through the PA systems of the decaying metropolises can be heard nothing but brain-rattling dubstep – day and night (these cyborgs sure like their dubstep!). Back in 2142 is when everything changed – The AI we created for our cyborg workers became too advanced and they began their own revolt and revolution against all mankind. Soon, every genre of music was outlawed except for grinding, wobbling & wubbing dubstep. House and other EDM music producers and DJ’s were jailed or simply taken away in the night never to be heard from again. Even samplepack producers had to follow the new strict guidelines of only producing dubstep samples and no less than 1,000 samples per collection!

Well, I probably messed around with that little toy piano a lot but I just came to realize its value when I was already an adult and found it again on my basement. It’s not perfectly tuned, it’s a worn and aged little piano, it’s got a lot of character, it makes some noise when we release some keys, and it’s beautiful. Obviously we at HeadlessBuddha Samples sampled it through some worn cassette tape but this time we wanted to capture more subtleties and details than we usually do. I think it’s our best Kontakt instrument to date and we’re very proud to present it to you. Grandpa Toy Piano features: 7 velocity layers and 2 round robins per note plus release samples 1 Kontakt instrument 44.1kHz/24 bit .wav format All recorded through cassette tape A set of 18 custom impulse responses 550Mb installed The .wav files go decompressed so you can use it wherever you want. The 3 main patches consist of unique one shot recordings all of which vary in length and timbre. The DRONES PATCH contains grisly low end material, the WHINES PATCH contains higher pitched scream like material, and the HITS PATCH contains various metal fence poles and wire which we hit with the bow while recording. The HITS PATCH has 6 unique hits all with 4 x RR!  As a bonus, we processed the heck out of these recordings by mangling their speed, EQ, and timbre to create a series of 14 processed PAD patches which would accomodate making creepout / tension beds. These all loop with a low pass filter mapped directly to the mod wheel, the timbre of these can totally change at the flick of a finger. In addition to the processed PADlike material, we also included a series of 5 percussive / impact patches which are well suited for accent or trailer hits. The GUI is highly tweakable as you have direct access to the Lo, Mid, and Hi EQ, Pitch, Reverb (with 13 original IRs), and a GRIT knob for distortion
